ordered a OPPO Digital OPDV971H and have a question (1 Viewer)

I just ordered a OPPO Digital OPDV971H DVD player and was wondering if I could just run my DVI cord right my 4805 and the audio to my receiver, so I can have my surroud sound, since my receiver doesn't support DVI? Will this work or am I missing something?

Yeah that will work just fine and that's what most people do anyway since receivers with DVI/HDMI switching are pretty new.

well the 4805 will need a DVI to M1 cable. Unfortunately, Infocus decided to put a less used interconnect on their unit, the M1 connection. So.. you will have to buy a DVI-M1 Converter or a DVI-M1 Cable. Same difference...

Anyway, good luck with that... My 4805 should be coming back from repair sometime this week or maybe early next week. So I will be able to test out the Oppo on my 4805 as well!
