I am looking at picking this projector up. It is a Native XGA resolution projo. I saw it on display and it was crystal clear! It is a 4:3 display, so what does that mean for 16:9 sources like DVD and GameCube Games (some of them at least)? I like all the features that this unit has and I can get it for $5500 CAD. If someone can give me some advice on my selection that would be great. If you think that there is a better solution out there, to be had in the same price range...please let me know.

    Thanks.

I was also looking at the Sony HS10.

I should add that I will be hooking up a PC (running XGA resolution minimum), Progressive Scan DVD, GameCube, DirecTV and VCR. I would like the Projo to be able to display 720p (for the future). Are both of these Projectors (H55 and HS10) capable of displaying an HDTV signal without downgrading it?

The HS10 will display 720p natively, but must scale 1080i.

I'm not certain, but I don't think an XGA 4:3 display is wide enough to display 720p without scaling.

16:9 material on a 4:3 display will have black bars on the top and bottom.
