I am interested in purchasing a Sharp xv-z10000u projector.
Under the specs it says that an optional digital decoder is required. Can anyone help me as to whether this is a real negative to this unit or if it is standard for a Mustang/HD2 Dlp chip projector?

Front projectors do not include TV tuners. You will need a cable box, satellite tuner, or a VCR to display TV signals. And of course you'll need an HDTV receiver or (cable or satellite HDTV receiver)to display HDTV (or a HTPC with a TV tuner or HDTV card).

Thanks. I guess the wording threw me off. I already new that but was confused as to why it was mentioned on this unit and not on all of them.
