I know they are junk. Just want to tighten em' up.

I've disconnected the x-over (250hz.) and using the 80hz. out of the Adcom preamp. I'm Powering them w/ a Adcom 555, in stereo.

    What next?
    polyfill?
    New woofers?
    Put 'em on concrete blocks?
    They are downfiring on carpet.

You might try playing with their height from the floor and with fill.

What don't you like about it? Doesn't go low enough? Boomy?

You could line the enclosure with foam and install an internal cross brace or two. That wouldn't mess with the "design" too much and should help to tighten things up.

Also, if you are firing directly onto carpet you might want to try some different materials under the sub.

IMO, I would try to tame the boominess with polyfill.
