Greetings to All. Have just bought Polk T15 bookshelf speakers, and a Polk PSW108 subwoofer. These now join a pair Polk M3s, and a Polk CSR center speaker. We have a rectangular living room / kitchen (great room) that I am setting this up in. Am thinking I will put the T15's aside the TV, with the M3's mounted to the wall on the sides / rear.

Was wondering if you could share what might be the optimum height to mount the rear speakers? Ceiling is flat but about 9 ft high.

And if you have thoughts otherwise, am I better off with the T15's in the front and the M3's for surround?

My thanks!

If it's 5.1, which it sounds like it is, side, maybe just slightly behind the listening position, a couple feet above sitting ear level. For years I thought rear placement was better, then discovered side is much better. If you upgrade to 7.1, then you put a pair in the rear. I also understand that if you upgrade to Atmos, you might want to lower them a bit.
