I want to set up a home theater for movies, gaming , and watching sports. someone suggested i get the Optima 2200 (price around $1500) for my projector. Supposedly it has excellent picture quality, and sufficient brightness for a partially lit room (for watching sports). Anyone know anything about this projector, or any other comparible projector? Bulb life, and or replacement cost on it? I'm a novice, just feeling my way around. any advice would help. thanks and have a great day!

This must be a new model, I never heard of it. The specs look great on it, with a 3 year replacement plan and 2 year warranty on bulb. I'm always leary with a new model until the reviews start coming out. On paper, it looks great for your situation. Keep in mind that you will need to keep your room reasonably dark though. The best lighting is recessed ceiling lights on dimmer switches. This keeps the light from shining on screen.
