They give me nightmares! But I would like some more oppinions on them.
How do you mean they give you nightmares, and do you still want information on them?
Well, My parents bought a large pair of Nuance bookshelves with an 8" mid and a silk dome tweeter several years ago with insurance claim money. They are in a nice Oak finish and look pretty good. As for the sound, I can say I honestly like them, nice and mellow, though being paired with Klipsch Reference all aorund except for mains, they are outclassed, but hoping to get some RF-3's soon. I've heard alot about Nuance scams, and I'm not too sure what the parents paid for them, but they do sound decent.
I just dont like the whole scam behind them. As if they are worth thousands of dollars!! They are made of paper.
So, i guess you don't like them, what did you go with instead,
I think they are a very nice speaker, i love the ones i have.
IMO, I do believe they are a little over priced, but i think most electronics are over priced.
I have Klipsch right now, but I'm looking for something new.
I havn't decided on anything yet.
What are you looking at?
What I've looked at, but havn't ruled out yet are the JM Lab Chorus 715, paradigm monitor 7's, and paradigm studio 20's.
I'm having a hard time looking for speakers here in Edmonton. I'd like to try a few more but I'm not sure what or where to go.
I friend of mine picked up mission speakers and a energy sub at a&b sound, it sounds pretty good, better than psb speakers.
Check them out!
I actually listened to the energy stuff. I liked it but after a few "listens" I decided against it. I also don't really like a&b sound for that type of stuff. Just because the last few times I went in they ignored me. They even said that they couldnt hook up some speakers I wanted to hear because they were busy.
I don't know. Maybe I'm just picky.
edit: You said mission...
well maybe I should take a look.
You are not picky,
I don't like a&b sound either, they are not always there to help you,
What kind of receiver are you using?
I was using an onkyo 797. but it broke down after a month of use. It's being fixed as we speak(I hope). Right now I'm just using an old pioneer.
Were did you get the onkyo 797 from?
How do you like the onkyo after the month?
Got it from audio 5.1
and I loved it until it sh!t the bed. It is nearly impossible to contact anyone about the problem. there is no "onkyo canada" only some distributor, that apparently doesn't have any staff capable of answering a phone.
It was just over a month after i got it. I wish I could have taken it back and gotten another one, but I couldn't. I have received zero customer service from onkyo or anyone to do with them.
Did you call Audio 5.1
They should give you a new one, and they should deal with Onyko.
Thats what I thought.
They said they would do that stuff, but they didnt.
I wont be shopping there anymore.
what stuff do you have?
I also don't like the build quality. I consider them a typical "lower end" speaker. Sounds decent enough but... I do not like their sales tactics re: the quadraphonic sound.
I have the avr 520, panny Dvd player and vcr, Sony 43 inch tv, I have 4 nuance elx for my fronts and the rears, and the nuance center channel,
Quite a while back while taking a walk through one of my local malls, I decided it would be nice to have a look the stereo store. I was just looking around when I was approached by a sailsman. He asked me if I was looking for anything in particular. I told him that I was in the market for a new set of speakers...Wrong idea!! His face lit up. He took me back into one of the demo rooms to show me some Nuance speakers. Withough telling him the price range, he threw in some special acoustic CD which is supposable supposed to make the speakers sound "Non Directional." He played some music and a few sound tests. I thought to myself, "So what, who does this guy think he is?" Well, I dindn't want to sound rude so I said "not bad." He eagerly told me the price and talked to some other sailsman who was supposable the manager, and he said they were the last pair left and gave me a $200 discount offer. I smiled, and said I'll think about it. The next week I went out and bought a pair of B&W 601's and was never happier!
right on brother!!!
those guiys think they are so smooth...
but they are criminals
