I need some opinions on what VCR to buy. It looks like I can pick up a used Sony SLV-R5UC which appears to be a top of the line SVHS. I don't know how old these are but they

appear to be going on EBAY at less than $200.00 and they claim they sold for over $1000.00.

I pretty much buy all DVD'S noe, but I still have an extensive collection of tapes, and would like to have a high quality VCR without spending a lot of money.

It seems that this VCR would be much better than any new one that could be purchased for that price or even double it. Kind of like comparing a used Porsche to a new Camaro.

Which would you rather have. Any opinions would be appreciated.

You may want to check out ecost.com. I seem to recall them selling a JVC S-VHS for about $130 recently.
