My situation now, Aiwa 8inch sub, aiwa mains (left overs from old home theater) Cerwin-vega LS-6C ctr, and crappy bose rears.

My original plan was to upgrade piece meal first mains, such as diva2.1s, moniter 5s, or Axioms. Move old mains to rears, then match timber on the rest of the system as time and budget provides.

Now I am considering this plan: 4 new HTD 3 bookshelves, or factory outlet Axiom M3s and a Sony SA-WM40 sub(which I would probably mod w/polyfil).

I think my new idea may not be as ideal in the long run, but how much would I miss out really vs total $$$ saved?

BTW, HT vs music split is 60/40.

Any opinions welcome.
