I have a RCA DRD515RB(4-5 years old )with optical out. It has been a great performer. I have not had any problems and the rmote works anywhere in my house. If I upgrade(when and if direct and echo merge and if moer hdtdv program) I would easily get another RCA. Hope my opinion helps.

Jim,I picked up 450RG about a week ago to replace my old Sony Receiver. It is great the digital out works well and the on screen caller ID function is nice. The only thing is it doesn't have a favorites list like my Sony but for $80 I can't complain.

I have the 450. Works pretty well, although the user interface is a bit clunky and the remote is "slow". Takes a good 10 seconds for commands sent to actually "register" on screen. The digital audio is great. I love the caller ID. $79 at circuit city was money well spent.
