I'm kinda a newb at this (so bear with me), but anyway my roommate just bought a house and will be moving shortly so he offered me the following deal on some of his home theater stuff (the speakers were really only to sweeten the deal):

    1) Pioneer PRO-710HD (Pioneer Elite 64")
    2) Polk Audio reference CC
    3) DCM fronts
    4) AudioSource 12" powered sub
    5) pair of stands
    6) 3 years left on the extended warranty on the TV

    Price: $2800

To those of you who are more familiar with the brands, and costs, does this sound like a fair/good deal to you?

    Thanks!

Uhhhhh... give me your friends number and are you on the West coast?

The TV alone is worth it. The SRP on that 710 was around $6000 a few years ago and while it's a few years old, it was the premium HDTV to have.

The speakers you should ignore. Mixing different brands center & L/R is a big no-no for home theater. If you have nothing now, go ahead and take them. (better than nothing, but should not replace even a budget set of tone-matched speakers).

    Hope this helps.

Thanks, yeah it looks like I've got some research and shopping to do in the near future as far as speakers go.
