I just bought this big screen on Saturday and must say I love it. I am getting my digital cable/HDTV set up tomorrow. I was watching lord of the rings (twin towers) last night.. and WOW..the screen is awesome! The sound of course could be better however must do for now. I was hestiant to get it because the reputation of RCA howver this screen had the best picture of all the screens I saw (except plasma but damn close). I did however buy a 2 yr extra warranty just in case! :emoji_thumbsup:

any opinions on this TV?? reviews??

Congrats on your new purchase. I recently purchased a 36inch RCA and am very pleased with it. Like you, I was almost driven away by the bad reviews/comments I've heard about RCA lately, but after a number of nice discounts and a practically free 3 year full warranty, I went for it. Been working great, I agree with you about the Scenium...very nice picture. Enjoy.

I have an RCA 61 inch widescreen and i must admit the picture is stunning. I also looked at both L.O.T.R movies and those have been my best movie experiance Matrix Reloaded and Attack of the Clones came a close second. I have heard things about the quality of RCA and i am in the process of getting mine repaired now. But the repairmen who is servicing mine said he sees all the brands going into the shop and you have covered yourself with the warranty and hopefully you won't have to use it. Anyway enjoy that tv.

I had a D52W20 for awhile and for the money it was a great set. I sold it to my brother to go FP but I would still be happy w/ it if i still had it today. My only issue was the lack of 720p support, an issue that extends all the way up to the RCA DLP sets (a big problem for them since their native reolution is 720p).

One thing about the built in DVD on that set, I don't think it's prgoressive scan. I remember reading this elsewhere and thinking it was odd.

One feature I really like on the Scenium line that my non-scenium model didn't have was a built in internet browser for those w/ broadband. This coupled w/ the split screen function could be very useful.
