opinions front speaker set up (1 Viewer)

I am currently running a pair of Acoustic Research AR-510's for my front speakers,approx 10 years old,and an M&K 750 for a center.Even being old these AR's are still pretty good ,even being 10-12 years behind in tech? Or has time and advances in tech made them unworthy?

If it sounds good then keep them. Speakers are a component that last longer techwise than any of the other components that are obsolete when you take them out of the store.

Two points worth considering:

1. "Good" is entirely subjective.

2. Virtualy everyone thinks their system is good (or better than good, in most cases).

The only way to determine how your speakers stack up against current models in your price range is to audition.
