I don't mean to start a flame up but, are these guys really funny to anybody? Some of their show isn't funny, some of it is. Jim Norton is usually pretty hilarious; the guy can focus humorous vitriole better than anyone. It's usually the constant barrage of guest comics who make the show funny: Jim Breur, Tracy Morgan, Brian Regan, Lewis Black, etc.
I've listened to Stern for a long time too --- sometimes that show's funny, sometimes it isn't. Same with O&A. It will be a shame if they don't come back to the Philly area.
Well, somehow O & A had to know what was up and obviously condoned what was going on.Yes, I'm not saying they didn't know. Of course they did. But I also believe that O&A were approached with the actual idea. But I do see your point, and since one of mine was that people should take responsibilty for their own actions, I won't argue any further.
Btw, I don't really consider sex in a church risky. Having sex while parachuting in a snow storm, THAT'S risky.
Let's go after couples having sex outside their home. They didn't go after a couple having sex "outside their home". (Like if they were in a hotel they would have arrested.) They went after a couple having sex in somebody else's "home", without permission. Indecent exposure is still a crime (which is why flashers get arrested), and so is "public lewdness". I don't know about you, but I'd just as soon not have people doing this sort of thing in public places.
I'll stop this here, because it could easily tip over into politics, but the fact is these whack-jobs had to know that what they were doing is illegal in virtually every jurisdiction, and that they ran the risk of being arrested. They gambled, they lost.
