I have a few B&M stores near me offering to sell me the Pioneer Elite 45tx for $900. Not a bad price for a local store. One has a floor model for $825. I was going to get the floor model, but I had a little problem working out the payment with them and now I'm not sure which one I'm going to get. I have been reading a few posts about a few internet companies, but I'm not sure if I want to go with a company that is not an authorized dealer. Any ideas or thoughts?

At $900 from an authorized dealer, I personally would go that route. Yeah, you can find the 45tx at some of the more reputable online retailers (soundpros, etronics) for about $100 - $150 less list price. Factor in some shipping costs here also. And, yes on the other side will be taxes, so that's about a wash there. For the extra $150 I would go authorized and have a full 2 year Elite warranty from Pioneer, and not the online retailer. Just my 2 pennies.

Actually I found out JandR is an authorized dealer. I've been in their store a few times and purchased a couple AudioSource amps. I gave them a call and bought the 45tx from them for a very good price. And the salesman I talked to really knew a lot about their products and was a pleasure to deal with.

So my 45tx will be here in a few days!!!
