Has anyone had experience with the Onkyo protection circuit? Is it the kind where if it shuts off, you jsut unplug it, and plug it back it, or is it the complez kind like Denon, where you have to get it serviced if you put it into protection?

I have owned several Onkyo receivers and whenever the protection circuit kicked in, it was only temporary, no need for service. Both occurrences were my fault as I shorted a speaker wire. The receiver would go into protection and then if I corrected the problem quickly enough it would start working again. One time it turned itself off and all I had to was turn it back on. No harm no foul.

    Thanks,

    Jeff
