    Yeah,
I'm sure we all know how the manufacturer's don't update their websites until the product is already out!
    That's the worst.

I'd also like to know more about how the A-Bus works in the receiver. I've been looking at the Russound 6.4 and 4.4 systems for my new house and when reading about the A-Bus, I didn't really understand what it did. It didn't include any multi-channel amps, so I don't know how it distributes the sound to different zones.
Does the receiver use its own amplifiers to power the different zones? I would guess, then, that there probably a max of 3 zones with this unit?

    Very, very cool. Thanks, Troy.
Anyone have info or pricing on the 7.2? The $2000 8.2 is out of my spending limit.
For anyone who's interested, this looks like all you'd need, in addition to the receiver, to have a full 4 zone system.

Hopefully the Onkyo 797 and 898 won't have the A-Bus..... seems like something I'll never use.
It would make sense that the 797 and 898 won't have A-Bus, because the 898 is expected to list for $1499 vs. the $2000 for the 8.2. And I read the 797 will be $999, and so probably the 7.2 will be $1199 like the current 7.1.
The prices I'm quoting for the 797 and 898 were from an Onkyo press release a few months ago.

    James,
All indications would point to that, based on their previous lines. The 8.2 includes the RS-232 port (but so did the 7.1). I guess the definitive answer will surface once the unit is closer to being released.

Does anyone have comparisons vs. the 6.2 and 7.2? The 8.2 is way beyond what I want to spend. How about comparisons to the Onkyo line?
