Onkyo 595 problem (1 Viewer)

I have an Onkyo 595 i bought off of ubid about a year ago. Just recently, something strange started happening. When I switch to DVD, i get picture but no sound. I have to then hit the CD button to get sound. It seems to work fine, but I think something has to be seriously wrong internally. Anyone else ever hear of this happening?

I just received the 595 last week and so far I love it. Did you check to see which digital input the dvd is set to? The problem may be as simple as that.

It's likely that your settings got reset. That happened to my 595 once after a brownout. You need to check and make sure the right digital input is selected for DVD and make sure multichannel is turned on. If that's not the problem, then who knows?
