I saw the following image on the local news tonight: a trashy house with a window being propped open by a VHS tape.

I guess that's one use for them!

haha, that is great. It is amazing how much I despise VHS tapes. I am saving up for a DVD-R so I can get rid of all my VHS tapes because I cannot stand the look of them.

Another good use for VHS tapes (please...do this only with your Independance Day and Amadeus P&S tapes...don't do this with rare ones!) is to take them apart.

Use the tape for wrapping, bundling, etc.

I always thought they'd bne cool to use to build a fort with. Take a little super glue and you know what to do.
