The first single from the new Nine Inch Nails album is available in multi-track Garageband format--you can mix or remix at will!

Other tracks have been released as Garageband files in the past... most cool!

I LOVE Garageband and use it to record at home. I've been laying down guitar tracks for a while now and must have cataloged at least 30-40 guitar riffs. If I can ever get any free time (which between work and the upcoming birth of my first child is about impossible), I'm going to take some of these ideas and finally start molding them into complete songs. You can get excellent results with just a couple of instruments and a decent microphone.

A close friend that composes and a long time MOTU user was very impressed with GB when it first came out. He's on Logic Pro and Digital Performer for his work, but I remember statements about how good it was for an iAPP. He was really impressed.

I'm compositionally illiterate -- and had a friend / roommate who did quality amateur compositions in Cakewalk -- and think GarageBand would be a lot of fun to hack around with.
