    Hi

I'm looking for a decent sounding One-Box-solution that has a:

clock, Radio, DVD player, audio signal decoder (DD, DTS...), amplifier and speakers 2/3/4/5.... all in the same case.

Of course I dont expect true sorround sound or anything close to it, but something decent.. perhaps like the

    Cambridge Soundworks CD-740
    http://reviews.cnet.com/Cambridge_So...2.html?tag=top

    or

    B(l)ose
    http://qualitysound.bose.com/wrcd_wave_index.htm

Except this box would have to take DVDs and do reasonable decent job of the audio.

As you might have guessed this would be for a bedroom / secondary system that I dont want to do any cabling for.

Anyone know of such a box ?

    Thanx,
    Prashanth

No idea what you are talking about - you are kinda going off in a few directions [IMG]

The two links are for 'clock radio's' - is that what you want?

Do you want a home theater in a box? You say all in 'one box' - but that leaves you limited. What about 1 box and two speakers?

Like I said it has to be a "one box solution"

Anyone whos listened to the Cambridge would probably not refer to it as just another clock radio.

The box I am looking for would have

    - DVD player
    - sorround sound decoder (DD, DTS, DPL II ....)
    - multichannel Amplifier
    - FM Reciever
    - speakers, perhaps something that simulates souuround would be preferable.

I am familiar with the Niro 1.1 Pro, It comes close but not quite, its still a 3 box (DVD/decoder/amp, sub, sorround speaker box) solution so I cant get rid of cabling completely.

Price is no object for this box, size is. Even upto $700-$800 eould be fine, but no cabling, except to the TV.

A DVD boombox comes to mind, but the audio quality would need to be a LOT superior.

Any help appreciated, .... forum Veterans.... anyone ?

    -thx, prashanth

Look into Sony Dream Systems. They're very nice!

No speaker connections? I think you're not going to find anything like that , good luck.
