I thought this was going to be released. Any info?
Still no info?
I'm very disappointed. I really would love this on blu-ray.
I would love to have it for my collection. :/ it is a darn great film.
When I saw my thread was bumped, I thought there might've been some good news reported here.
But still no release date yet for OGP. Too bad.
There are several films from the Shout/ITV deal that I wish would get releases, along with "On Golden Pond".
The Boys from Brazil
Not sure what Shout is doing with the ITV catalog....they also released several of the ITV movies as DVD only.
Unless it's been remastered, I doubt you'd notice a difference between DVD and Blu ray
I'm beginning to doubt an earlier prediction that we'll see this title before the end of this year...
Wow. It looks like Shout Factory! has a whole bunch of Blu-rays coming out in January - and some really good ones too! Someone needs to start a dedicated Shout Factory upcoming Blu-ray thread just to discuss all these exciting releases.
Yes, I'm super excited too!
Already 4 that I want to purchase!
It's great that this wonderful film is coming out but boo on Shout for not including English subtitles on this release (as per the link above).
I'm frustrated too, but browsing through past releases I see all have English subtitles.
Maybe they add them later to the database?
If subtitles aren't included I'm afraid I won't purchase it and wait for another release.
(same with Henry V)
Shout!! Doesn't do subtitles on ANYTHING. They say it's too costly. I think they are just cheap.
How much does it cost to create subtitles?
I wouldn't think it would cost a lot, but I remember reading something from Shout! That it is cost prohibitive. They have to get an officialScript, type them out, edit, proofread... I think that shout! Is either lazy or cheap.can someone else shed someLight?
are you sure?
These are all Shout Factory titles, and they all have subtitles as you see in the info:
and every single title I see in the bluray.com database, has English subtitles.
Did you mistake it with another company? e.g. Olive?
I have several shout! Titles and none of them have sub titles. Maybe they do use them, but not on everything.
