Recently, my wife and I watched our Hannibal DVD. I had seen the film in the theaters when it came out. She had not. Imagine my surprise during the scene where Inspector Pazzi is viewing the FBI Most Wanted Web Page and the camera pans across "Usama Bin Laden". My wife wasn't surprised because she hadn't seen the film and given the attacks on this country in September, I guess it fell into place for her since his face is on TV everyday.

I on the other hand was rocked by the irony. I was dumbfounded at how I never would have remembered this scene unless I had re-viewed the film.

Anyone else have this scene sneak up on them?

    Thanks.

Had many people never heard of Bin Laden before Sept. 11th?

He was a known bad guy for some time before that (linked to the first WTC attack, embassy bombings, the Cole bombing.)

I guess I don't understand what the big deal is about him appearing on the Most Wanted list in this movie?

He has been on the list for a long time.
