How do you feel about buying old hi end, acurus a125x5 amp w/ acurus act 3 pre amp processor or buying new combo amp tuner. will use in den for home theatre. both options to cost approx $1200. which way do i go.

IMO, the Acurus amp would be fine. But the Act3 had lots of unhappy owners. If the deal is for both as a pair, I'd pass...
