My parents have some really old speakers that are just lying around, They are Marantz DP-100s (maybe not DP, some similar accronym not exactly sure). They are floor standing speakers. The problem is that the 10 inch woofers on them have their surrounds completely eroded, so they are junk. Has anyone ever heard of these speakers? Are they any good? Obviously getting them reconed would be either expensive or not possible, but what about finding just some cheap 10 inch subs and putting them in place of those. Is that practical? Or should I just throw them away and not waste the money.
