I don't know where you are getting your information from but I can tell you the following:
The copyright renewals on the show, as listed on the Library of Congress website, say CBS.
David Susskind sold Talent Associates, his company which produced many fine shows, including Way Out, was sold back in 1978 to Time Life. This would then mean all of the shows ownership would be under Warner now as evidenced by Get Smart coming out through HBO. And to make it more confusing, the Time Life that exists now has absolutely no relation to the old Time Life that he sold his company too.
As for airing, people I know at SciFi channel tell me they tried very hard to get the show back when they first went on the air and could not. I wasn't able to get the full details as to what the problem was.
