Hiya there, new and quite newbie poster.

The sub in my Onkyo system I bought refurb a few years back finally died. Can't get any power to come on, and nothing looks blown.

But instead of trying to get it repaired, I thought upgrading or at least replacement would be the higher ground... My receiver is a TX SR600. I'm looking for any clue ins on what to buy here... looking for the low end of things price-wise, sub-$200ish range(small room anyway).

Thanks in advance for any help/suggestions!

Did you pull out the amp from the enclosure? I'm currently working on an Onkyo SKW-200, on it's amp board there are 2 fuses that you can replace. The amp is an open board design, with no back case on it, the wires are short to the transformer, which is mounted separately from the amp board, you'll see 4 screws towards the bottom back of the sub, and that is the transformer mount, so if you undo that, you can pull the whole amp out.
