I have a limited amount of space and 2 kids that like to play with anything they can get their peanut butter fingers on. Currently I kkep my sub (a much smaller one/psw250) behind the equipment rack and Tv, hwich works well. I am getting a new set up this weekend (psw650 and 7500)(i know i should get a SVS- Im getting the above system for only 640.00,wife approved) and the only place I can see fit to place the SW is in the closet. It does have shuttered door which would possibly allow more sound through then the current arrangement...however I'd like to hear your guys thoughts on the matter. If it makes a huge difference to have it out in the room I'll do it.

I'm going to have to say that this does not sound like a good idea.

    additional info...
the closet is next to the screen and front speakers...nothing else is it other than DVDS (shelves)(approx. taking up 25% of the space.
