We have a copy of Popeye at the video store, and we watch it at least once a month. I never get tired of it.

This is definately something I would add to my collection if given the opportunity!

Looking forward to a nice 16x9 transfer with 5.1 sound (DTS?) sound...

I'll add another "must buy" vote to the thread. I loved this movie as a kid and haven't seen it in years. An OAR DVD would be awesome.

Any chance that a spinach-loving Admin could move this thread over to Studio Feedback?

    Thanks!

Count me in as a definite purchase. Anything directed by Robert Altman is worth owning.

Thanks for help with the move, Dan! [IMG]
As far as switching over, I was just hoping to get as much attention as possible. I'll hover here for a few weeks and then have Dan warp me to the After Hours thread...like Zardoz!
Once again, for those just coming in:
    Popeye.
Several people want it, bless their warped little souls.
Any shot, O powerful DVD Gods up on Mt. Anamorphic?

You can add me to the list of potential buyers....and thank God I'm not the only person who owns Krull and Killer Klowns!

Well, I had Krull, it's gone now, but I want it back!
AND YES, I'd buy Popeye on DVD in WS Anamorphic! [IMG]
Maybe Robin Wililams could do a commentary and make fun of the movie.. kinda like Weird Al did for UHF? That might be fun?
    Chris.

Yeah, I'm on the ups and square, and I want to own it too.

Unless someone will be kind enough to issue a soundtrack CD, there should be an isolated music track for all the great Harry Nilsson songs, along with (one hopes) a commentary with Robin Williams and Shelley Duvall.
