OK, settled. Sunfire or B&K 5-channel Amp? (1 Viewer)

Does B&K make good sounding amps? Is 125x5 enough power not for volume, but for clarity and quality? My livingroom is not that large, maybe 12x16 at best. 8' ceilings.

Or would I be better off with a powerhouse Sunfire 200x5?

I guess the more important question is,
Sunfire Theater Grand IV Pre-Amp,

or B&K Reference 50 Pre?

I'd like to keep the name the same down the line.

Wattage isn't everything...it's the size of the powersupply that will determine how an amp handles peaks. In your price range there are tons of options. Go auditioning! Have fun, see what there is, what you like, etc.
