I haven't changed any of the settings because I still need to re-calibrate my set, but the picture quality is awesome, as Navid stated. When I get my Sony XBR2 I'll finally be able to take advantage of the progressive output.

Well, after contemplating the Toshiba 3800 I am leaning toward this player now (I watch a whole lot of anime, so having an excellent deinterlacer is very important). But, I don't have (yet) a HDTV. Can someone post their opinion on the interlace output of this player? I expect it to be at least as good as my Pioneer DV-333...

How is the sound quality for DVD-Audio/CD/etc? Any undue harshness present in so many low end electronics?
