International Oh...Rosalinda [The Archers’ film restoration coming to Blu]

    The UK Network label has announced the Aug 12 release of Powell and Pressburger’s CinemaScope movie, Oh...Rosalinda!!

    Having read some scathing reviews of this work, it’s not one I’ve particularly hankered after. However, Network’s claims of full-scale restoration from the original negatives has me interested, as The Archers’ films are visually spectacular, irrespective of any other failings.

    Technirama not CinemaScope I seem to recall so it should look spectacular especially if taken from the negs..

    All sources that I’ve checked say CinemaScope, including the following BFI:

    The following source also suggests that Technirama debuted in the US in 1957, whereas Oh Rosalinda!! was released in 1955:
