I'm thinking of buying the official Trigun DVD set from Pioneer but that 200 dollar price tag is a bit steap (and I could have got it at Best Buy for $149.99 but they raised it back up). Does anyone have it and can tell me how good the picture is, any real problems like sever pixelization? Is the audio good? Thanks in advance.

I picked it up last year and just love it. I don't remember having any problems (at least not any big enough to want to remember)

I can't say much for the english track, but (again to the best of my memories) the japanese wasn't bad.

Overall, I can't recommend it enough.[IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

For the series itself, I highly recommend it. It is one of my favorites.

As for technically, it is about as good as the average TV anime series on DVD. Interlaced, but good.

Thanks for the help everybody. I think the show is great but I've only seen maybe 8 or 10 of the episodes, stopped right after the whole Wolfwood saga. I'm definitely going to buy this now but I just can't believe it's 200 bucks. I'm going to check out that website too.

Pioneer doesn't have the rights to all of the opening animation, just the first episode which they repeated throughout the 26 episodes. In the Japanese version, every opening has a little different animation.

There's some other minor edits too.

Didn't know that about the intro, that's interesting. Regardless it's a great show, I think I may buy it from DVD Planet though and avoid Best Buy.
