I would argue that 3D animated movies date themselves even more so because of the ever changing speed of the technology (i.e. a year is only 3 months in the computer world). Just look at Toy Story...already, you can tell that the technology looks old (compared to todays technology), whereas other "films" from 1995 look like they could have been done more recently.
