I took one of my female friend's to it last night and thought the film was pretty good, all things considered. It was definitely a model of a film designed to transfer a television series to the big screen... definitely something I hope the Stargate creative staff follows (ending some storylines, starting new ones and having a wild adventure without needing to much backstory for the newbies).

Hey, a film based on a show that includes Stephen Tyler and Jimmy Fallon as fans can't be that bad (and it sure isn't). Really enjoyed the romantic parts, though the comedy was subdued and really subtle (which is a nice change of pace).
