Official R3 Spider-man DVD available in HK! (1 Viewer)

I realize that this may belong in Regional DVD section. I had to post since it surprised me. Last night, Friday October 11, I saw tons of Spider-Man R3 DVDs at my local Blockbuster in HK. It's a 2 disc set with what seemed like the same extras. This was a move by Columbia to fight parallel imports coming in to HK from Canada and the US. I usually prefer R1 but may have to pick this up this weekend. I hope I can find SW EPS.2: ATOC

The R3 Hong Kong version is the same as the R1 Widescreen Special Edition. The R3 HK version adds more regional subtitles and drops the French options.

Just finished watching the R3 Spider-man Widescreen Edition
and all I can say is WOW. Have not watched the second disc
of extras.

Actually I was in the same mind as Tom Oh. Be patient and
wait for the R1 version in November. But with all the
Spidey's DVD everywhere just can't resist. So went out
and bought meself the Widescreen Edition but not before
checking out whether it's the same as R1 version.

So sorry for you guys in the States have to wait till November.

Forgot to add. It was annouced by the distributor here
on 5 Oct 02 that the release date is 12 Oct 02 with
the Gift Set pegged at 2000 serialised sets only.
