I finally broke out my last LD's with the original format and converted them to DVD. It's taking me a while, but thankfully, with the right software (Adobe Encore DVD) I've been able to keep the Dolby Digital soundtrack from the Laserdiscs, so at least I get the best of both worlds. (and as I've bought and own both, I don't feel guilty; hell, the cost of DL discs is enough in and of itself)
