Shacknews previews Panzer Dragoon Orta
The two levels on display here were lacking in the sort of wonder and fantasy that was so prominant in the other games. Instead there were some very attractive environments, and some decidedly un-Panzer Dragoon looking enemies (and some that look to be lifted right out of Panzer Dragoon Saga). But there are other complaints too...the control scheme isn't quite as intuitive as it should be. It takes two buttons to pull off a bezerk attack...this isn't really necessary, is it? Considering that there really only needs to be one or two buttons for the entire game (fire and bezerk) Smilebit has done a remarkable job of filling up the controls with unneccesary functions (speed up and speed down? could that have been done with one button?).

I think they need to go back & play Panzer Dragoon Zwei, it sounds like the Shacknews team have forgotten how it played.

The speed controls are an addition that play like the rotation - in addition to setting your heading, you now set your speed. Sounds fine to me.
