21 new for me.

Wow. I watched more this year than last, but it felt like less as there were so many I wanted to watch but just didnt get to. The month flew by.

Thanks for the totals, John. I think I watched six movies the week after Halloween. I was so burned out. Then Vinegar Sydrome delivered their November titles and I had to start the horror back up.

Good afternoon! I haven't participated in a Scary Movie Challenge for years. I went off to become a doctor and simply haven't had the time. With school behind me, and now being a couple years into my new career (Forensic Psychologist), I will finally have time to participate in this year's upcoming challenge. My passion for horror is year round, however, I really start getting into it around mid-August. This year was no different and I've been watching almost exclusively horror movies/TV for the past 2 weeks.

I came back to this thread to start getting a list together for movies I've missed over the past few years in particular. So thanks to all of you for your reviews. I look forward to finally being able to join you again in this year's challenge.

Welcome back, Jason, and thanks for reviving this thread! I was just re-reading through it myself the other week, in anticipation of the next challenge. Look forward to seeing your (and everyone else's) list and review posts in a month or so.

As Eric noted just a couple posts above, he tried to start a more general year-round thread, but there wasn't much participation. I assumed people weren't watching much horror outside of October/Halloween.

That describes me...unlike Jason above, I don't have much interest in watching horror these days, outside of the Hallowe'en season. But I do look forward to indulging in the genre each year in the October challenge.

I noticed there was a thread for horror that exceeded the bounds of the October challenge, however, sadly, I was unable to participate in any of it until now due to schooling, licensing exams, and then starting work. Now that I'm happily settled into my new career, as well as my wife and I being empty-nesters, time is available to come back on the forum. For that, I'm grateful. I missed it.

I forgot to change my avatar back from last time so I guess I'll continue to be Draculzappa lol.

I plan to participate, but my work is going to really be in the way this year so I'm hoping to hit 31 titles instead of a 100. My plan to run all the main slasher franchises in chronological order will have to wait until 2022.

My 'Dawn of the Dead' avatar stays forever (I think) so this years challenge the 4K will be the first movie I watch. I'm hoping to get the required amount of movies watched to be someone. Last year was a pathetic attempt for me.

I don’t know if I will be able to participate, but as my good will I changed my avatar because spooky season is on
This is the first year I've been able to participate since 2015, so I'm pretty excited. Sorry that you will potentially not be able to join in. I will say that despite not having been able to participate for all these years, I always checked in to see what everyone was watching so I could be jealous that I had little time to watch anything myself.

Side note: Despite my avatar being my actual face, I think we can all agree it's scary enough to work for the Halloween season.
