It seems like there are always one or two stragglers in the foreign language/international film race that don't expand around the country until after the ceremony, so years ago I learned to give up on being able to see everything in that category before the awards. In any case, Parasite has that award locked up anyway, so I've seen the winner already.

I think it is quite clear white male rage is one of the most cinematic subjects in all the universe and has made for some really great movies.

I really like it, a good combination of drama and sports. Lots of great car sounds.

I did see 1917, Joker and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood and a few others not nominated. Will check out the other BP nominees when my local library gets them.

I'm a little disappointed Knives Out didn't receive a Production Design nom. I thought that mansion set was one of the best I've ever seen.

I saw Judy. Zellweger is great- seems to me she does the singing. The film is a bit of a downer though.

That's an understatement. I thought the movie was great and she is deserving of the attention her performance is getting, but I don't want to buy it or see it again because I don't think I could bear it twice.

I really liked it, and I'm not a car person. I don't even drive. So I was impressed that they were able to get me to care about s story about racing, but it was really good.

Because there are so many movies coming out soon that I really want to get, I don't think I'll buy this one. But it was really good.

Yes I guess you can’t. The film makes it clear right from the beginning that you’re going to watch a sad story.

I cringed at the ending- came off as a little
too Hollywood.

Simply do a Tarantino and have it end the way you want rather than the way it did.
