I agree got let international movies win/awarded recognition as they are made in many counties since the dawn of movies in early 20th Century. Can't let USA movies always win that isn't fair. Let there be change.

I guess preOrder Ford vs Ferrari for Dolby Atmos when it gets a UK release as import £45.00 is a bit too much.

The way they usually like to spread things around, I'm surprised they awarded Parasite with both Best Picture and Best International Feature Film.

The show itself wasn’t well directed

They announce the off show special awards and don’t even show pictures of the winners.

I had no idea who the young introducers were.

A lot of sloppy camera work - odd cutaways.

Having multiple names during the Memoriam made it feel rushed (past years allowed the audience time to react with recognition)

And what was that WTF rap song - half of it was bleeped out. No seeming connection to Hollywood, current films, or movies in general.

Don't think I did too well with my picks.

I thought Mendes would at least get Best Director.

"Toy Story 4" was a given. The film could have been complete shit and it would have won. Although, after watching it last night on D+, I would say that it was deserved. It had a solid story and they made a good choice to make Bo Peep a strong female lead. I regret skipping it in its theatrical release because I was thinking it might be nothing but a money grab. It is pretty hard to make four compelling, high quality, films in the same series. At least one ends up being below par. TS has managed to dodge that bullet, so far.

Almost no surprises or "upsets" for me this year. This was the first Oscars in recent memory where I was generally happy with every set of nominees and winners.

Yeah. Eminem never showed up to perform the year it won the award (2008?), so they gave him a "do over" apparently. Didn't make much sense to me, either, to be performing it this year.

This oscar show was sure shorter than it was years ago at almost 6 or 7 hrs. I think this one was like 4 hours?

Seriously? That was 2003 Best Song Academy Award winner "Lose Yourself" - the first rap tune to win that award. Eminem skipped the ceremony back then (he was convinced he had no shot at winning), so this was a surprise make-up performance. The audience clearly loved it. I did too. Great song and a deserving winner.

Seriously, that’s why? They’ve got time for a do over but, rush so much else including the historical BP win! This show needs a new creative team.

As sad as I am that 1917 lost Picture and Director I can’t be too upset that Parasite won. It is an excellent film and certainly worthy of its wins. Wow.

As for my picks, I got 16/24 right this year. One of my worst showings ever.
