I still can't figure this out. I think I've posted regarding this before as well...
When I use the RCA cables with my PS2, I get an off-center picture (to the right about 1-2 inches on my 40H80). I've used S-Video and Component cables and they seem to work ok. I'd continue using those, but I just installed an Alpine monitor in my car, and now I have to use the RCAs in there. Same problem; off-center picture. I've tried other RCA cables and it is the same problem. Do you think the console is defective?
Thanks,
-Corey

It all depends on the TV you're using and the game and console you are using. I have a PSX, SNES, N64, and DC in my room and they don't have the off center problem because the TV is smaller (it cuts off the left and right sides of the screen a little) so I don't see this. In my living room and basement, I can see this all the time, except for anamorphic games.

Corey,
It's normal. If the game you're playing doesn't have a screen adjustment, your only course of action is to get used to it, I'm afraid... :)
