I plan on getting a SW in the near future, but face a problem placing it in my HT area. The only _practical_ place to put it is *behind the TV/entertainment center*, whic can't be good for performance. Is elevating the SW on a platform behind the entertainment center a workable solution?

If you take a look at the various pictures of peoples systems, the sub is usually blocked in behind the rest of the equipment.

A lot of the sound from a sub comes from wall-reflections. So blocking direct line-of-sight to a sub is not as horrible as blocking a direct-radiating speaker.

So try it and decide for yourself.
