From Hammer-rival Amicus Productions comes this horror anthology penned by Robert Bloch (author of Psycho) and directed by the great British cinematographer Freddie Francis. Genre legend Peter Cushing stars alongside Jack Palance and Burgess Meredith in an omnibus of chilling and gruesome stories, inspired by E.C. Comics' Tales from the Crypt comic-book series of the 1950s.

This October has turned out to be a great month for Hammer films on blu ray. Most are UK releases though.

So they should be, in the first instance. After all, they're British films from a British studio. You do have a multi-region set-up, right? ;)

Though I'm always grateful, I do feel a little guilty whenever there's an English-friendly, quality restored release of a film that often hasn't even been issued on home video in its native country. France and Germany frequently suffer especially badly in this regard. :mellow:

Nice work, Indicator/Powerhouse – fast becoming one of my fave labels... and keep those Hammers coming!

Anyone get the blu ray of Castle Keep just released by Indicator? If so any comments on print quality/transfer quality?
