After 'Your Show of Shows' ended its run in 1954, Sid Caesar and Imogene Coca went their separate ways ... neither achieving as much success separately as they had enjoyed together. In January 1958, Caesar and Coca united on American television for a new series, 'Sid Caesar Invites You', with some of their 'Show of Shows' scriptwriters and a similar sketch-comedy format. It looked to be a sure-fire success, but the new series lasted barely five months and was scuppered in May.

BBC Airdate Sept. 9, 1958

The adventures of a one-armed gunfighter (he lost the use of an arm during the Civil War) in the Old West.

Tate returns to his home town to help an old friend, the town's aging marshal, guard a prisoner from a mob that wants to free him from being hanged.

Tate rides into town with the body of a wanted outlaw he's just killed, and presents it to the sheriff to collect the bounty. The sheriff sends Tate to the saloon to wait while he fills out the paperwork--and, since he doesn't like bounty hunters, decides to take his time about it. Meanwhile, at the saloon Tate runs into a young hothead who's itching to put a notch on his gun and decides that Tate's going to be it.

Robert Culp plays a bounty hunter who is seeking Tate for a murder that he didn't commit.

While bringing in sheepherder John Chess (Martin Landau) who twelve years prior had murdered more than a dozen people and ravaged a town out of revenge for his wife's death, Tate is forced to kill two sons of cattle rancher Abel Towey, who then wants his own revenge and tracks down Tate and Chess.

Tate tags along when grudge-holding Amos returns home to kill the little brother who wooed away and wed Amos' sweetheart during his long absence. Meanwhile, a marauding band of Comanches approaches.

The Life and Times of Grizzly Adams is a 1974 independent feature film produced by Charles E. Sellier Jr. and Raylan D. Jensen for Sun Classic Pictures. The film's popularity led to an NBC television series of the same name. The title character, played by Dan Haggerty, was loosely based on California mountain man John "Grizzly" Adams (1812–1860) (From Wikipedia). After fleeing into the mountains after he is wrongly accused of murder, woodsman "Grizzly Adams" discovers an uncanny bond to the indigenous wildlife of the region after rescuing an orphaned grizzly bear cub whom he adopts and calls "Ben".

An innocent fugitive from the law lives in the wilderness with a grizzly bear companion and helps passers-by in the forest.

Adams recalls the tale of how he met Nakoma when he was a new "Greenhorn" to the ways of the wilderness. How Nakoma helped him learn survival and also the tribal ceremony that bonded their friendship as Blood Brothers.

A widower and his son move into a nearby valley and refuse friendly advice from Adams and Nakoma, with disastrous consequences.

Mad-Jack disappears down a river on a raft. Adams later finds some of his belongings. Thinking he may have perished,it causes him to reflect back on the time he first met the mountain man. Will James Capen Adams bid farewell to his friend?

Trapper Tom comes to the great forests to snare grizzly bears,to sell to city zoos. With Adams help,Mad Jack and Nakoma set out to find him and destroy his traps...but will it be enough to stop him altogether?

I really loved this series and it's very cheap! Not the greatest image quality but lots of fun!

A panel of celebrities met with another celebrity who was in heavy make-up and/or costume; this disguise would always provide clues to the celebrity's actual identity. The panel asked yes-or-no questions to the celebrity, and then received another clue about the celebrity's identity at the end of the round. After the clue, the panel had one last chance to guess the identity, followed by the celebrity revealing their true identity. (1952)

Unknown Episode (Oct.05.1955)

Masquerade Party is a television game show who's popularity kept it on the air from 1952 to 1960. There was even a revival of the show in 1974. The game consisted of a panel of celebrities attempting to guess the identity of a celebrity who was disguised with heavy make-up and/or a costume. The disguise actually provided clues as to the celebrity's actual identity. This episode aired October 5, 1955. The master of ceremonies is Peter Donald. The panel is Bobby Sherwood, Dagmar (Jennie Lewis), Ogden Nash, and Ilka Chase. All commercials intact for Geritol. Find out about your "tired blood" and Esquire Shoe Polish. Remember when you shined your shoes? The Yankees lost the World Series to the Dodgers October 4th, so that was a topic in the show. Transferred from 16mm b-w film. (Moviecraft Inc.)

Of the many anthology series, this is considered the most ambitious with outstanding talent in front of the camera. Attracting top ranked directors and scripts, it was often filmed live including the entire first season.

Roy Brenner (Edward Binns) is a no-nonsense, seen-it-all plainclothes NYPD lieutenant, and his son Ernie (James Broderick) is a rookie beat cop in his first year on the force. In this pilot episode Ernie is undercover vice. He meets a pretty girl in a bar (Dolores)who takes him to an illegal craps game. To keep out of trouble Delores becomes a CI, confidential informant. But, can she be trusted with the crooked mob, crooked cops, and payoffs? Filmed in the noir style. Takes place in the gritty underworld of New York. An exceptional musical score. This pilot led to the Brenner TV series. Transferred from 16mm b-w film. (Moviecraft Inc.)

Unsuspecting celebrities were lured to a studio under false pretenses. Once there, they were surprised by loved ones sharing memories, culminating in gifts like jewelry and camera equipment.

Each week, an unsuspecting celebrity would be lured by some ruse to a location near the studio. The celebrity would then be surprised with the news that they are to be the featured guest. Next, the celebrity was escorted into the studio, and one by one, people who were significant in the guest's life would be brought out to offer anecdotes. At the end of the show, family members and friends would surround the guest, who would then be presented with gifts. These usually included jewelry, a scrapbook of memories, a home 16 mm projector and a camera.

The only time two lives were honored on the show, as both Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy were the rather subdued subjects.

Writes Barry I. Grauman 1 year ago “Despite Ralph Edwards' claim in later years that a stuck door was responsible for the delay in bringing Stan and Ollie to the NBC Studios, the REAL reason their appearance was delayed was because Stan had no intention of being "surprised" on national television, and refused to attend the telecast {"We intended to do something on television", he later recalled, "but we certainly never intended by starting out on an unrehearsed network program."}. It was Hardy who convinced his partner to "be a good sport" and go through with it, reminding him that everyone had been assembled to honor them, and that they couldn't let their fans down. Laurel agreed.”
