If i overlooked it, or it sounds silly forgive me...i am a newbie. 
Not sure why these different terms were/are used but i remember i saw these quite a bit on the covers of my laserdiscs.
Widescreen,letterbox,and duluxe letterbox.
Can someone please fill me in on this or am i doomed to be in the dark forever.Some kind soul please help me out here.
