So, I need to pick a supply option for my electric bill with NYSEG and I'm curious as to what's the better deal. We have three options: 1) Competitive Supplier Price Choice; 2) NYSEG Fixed Price Choice; and 3) NYSEG Variable Price Choice.
Now, I'm not going to bother explaining the intricacies of each plan since that's covered pretty well in NYSEG's enrollment kit. But I'm curious as to what plan people think is best? I don't know about any competing electricity suppliers in Upstate NY, so I think that that rules out option #1.
I spend about $145/month on electricity for my 2 bedroom apartment (yes, it's a lot but I run a gazillion computers, UPSs, and HT gear).
Thanks!
