I still check tvshowsondvd.com everyday with the hopes that some news comes up regarding NYPD Blue. It certainly doesn't look promising, but I refuse to give up all hope. Glad to see someone else out there is still interested.

This is the series that made me quite buying TV shows on DVD. This is my favorite show of all time, and I got screwed. I doubt it will ever be finished.

Heres a strange one for you-searched on google and found a site that advertised ALL episodes of blue-I asked then how could this be and this was my reponse:

"lease kindly note that this series was never officially released on DVD, and what we have on sale is a Collectors'/Fan version of this series.

This set does come with the original music from the broadcast of the show, and all the episodes from every season as well. """""

Does anybody know what this means? Is it claymation characters or muppets? It was $100 on 25 discs so there has to be something on them.

Gerry: Welcome to the HTF!

That would be an illegal bootleg--something we don't condone or support (or discuss) here on the HTF. They are likely very low quality.

From the HTF's Rules (see the link in my signature):

5. Respect for copyrights. Home Theater Forum has a strict policy of respecting the rights of copyright holders. We do not allow discussion of bootleg material or where or how to obtain it, and we immediately delete all links to sites that deal in bootleg material. If you have any doubt whether a source is legitimate, please check with a moderator before posting any links. We also do not allow discussion of (a) how to make unauthorized copies of video or audio materials, (b) how to defeat any form of copy protection (including, for example, how to make "personal" copies of commercially produced DVDs), and/or (c) how to obtain equipment that can only be used for such purposes. In one form or another, this rule goes back to the very origins of HTF. We are serious about it, and it is not going to change. Please do not try to debate copyright law with us. We're not interested in discussing what the law should be. We believe it is in the best interest of HTF to enforce this policy strictly, and members test it at their peril.

Thanks for the quick response. I was hoping to be able to buy blu-ray episodes, but since only the first 4 years are available, not sure I want to start a series that I may not be able to complete. I am 64 and not sure I would live long enough to complete it, and perhaps never in blu-ray. A shame because it never seems to be on TV anymore.
