Last nights NYPD Blue had one of the funniest endings I've seen in a while.

The new C/O, Eddie, has brought a bird into the squad. Of course, Sipowicz hates the squawking thing. Eddie loves the fact that the bird will imitate anything it hears.

After Eddie leaves, Sipowicz puts a small tape recorder next to the bird, with a tape of Andy saying the word "Douche-bag" repeated over and over. [IMG]

Lately, NYPD has had a bit of a different vibe to it. Not better or worse, just different. Has anyone else noticed?

That was great. Andy's quotes are classic - "The buzzard should be put down", "Close that door or I'm duct taping it's beak".

Douche bag Douche bag Douche bag.

    Hilarity ensues.

That had my wife and I laughing histarically(sp?). We loved it. It will be funny to see if the plot line had resolution or even continues with the bird.[IMG]

What's the name of the actor that played the new detective?
I know I've seen him in other stuff before but I don't know what.

I think it's amazing that this show is currently as good as it ever was. One part of the "new vibe" is that the cases are more mysterious and you can't call them until the very end. It's also great how they've upped the tension with the new boss and the hothead. The long break gave the opportunity to rethink things and the results are positive.

He was Cyrill on Oz, as well as the arrogant Senior Deputy on 10-8...
