NY Halloween Parade - Question about a costume char. (1 Viewer)

Did anyone watch the parade??? There was a couple who dressed as Sesame Street characters (from the 70's). They were AWESOME, but I don't remember the characters names (I'm trying to find pictures).

The characters were the 2 aliens (blue and pink) who stood by the telephone and they'd go "Meep, meep, TELEPHONE!"

Anyone know these characters??

You sure it wasn't the Muppets.. I think I saw the same characters:

Beeker was the one who would go Meep Meep all the time...

No, they were triangular in shape and very simple (design-wise).

I forget exactly what they said (maybe it wasn't "Meep") - But they often repeated words : "Nope! Nope! - Brrrrrrring!!!! Telephone! Yup, yup yup!" etc.

I think they are in an episode where they discover a telephone. It does originate back in the early 70s and this is Sesame Street.. The colors don't match your description though.

I have found something interesting too, I found something that specically mentions the Brrrrr..brrrring telephone thing on Kazaa. But I'm not a Kazaa member so I can't search, but I was told to do a search for Yip Yip there and there exists an MP3 of it.

Yeah, those "Yip Yip" things are on my daughter's Sesame Street DVD (oh GOD, how many times can a kid watch the same...oops, never mention her dad and JAWS in the future!).
